You’ve got to keep those monks happy and a Belgian Style Golden Ale clocking in at 9.3% ABV is certainly one way to do it!
It pours a golden yellow color with a two finger creamy white head that disappeared after a few minutes leaving a thin layer of white above the bubbling goodness.
The smells blew us away. So aromatic the yeast must have been working overtime! Lots of bananas, pears, fresh tropical fruits juicing with flavors.
The taste was light on the malt and heavy on the sugary yeast taste you would expect from this style – spice bananas, anyone?
Another great release from Weyerbacher!
