Sweetwater’s Crank Tank Rye Ale: So Fresh and So Clean

8 Dec

Camp Twin Lakes is a camp for children with special needs and Sweetwater’s Crank Tank Rye Ale is being sold to help raise money for the camp. “Camp Twin Lakes provides a safe and nonjudgmental environment for children with special needs – something they can’t always find in the real world.  These children will touch your heart and inspire of all of us to raise even more money,” says Sweetwater’s Freddy Bensch.

Like a beautiful summer day for these kids to play in, Crank Tank Rye Ale is super fresh and clean to drink. It pours a golden-yellow (like a bright shiny sun) with a white small head that fades away rather quickly. The nose is full of citrus and pine – fresh oranges and apples mixed with woodsy spices – along with hints of rye and caramel from the well balanced malt. The carbonation was spot on, which only enhanced how well balanced this beer is and made it super easy to drink.

We loved this beer! Perfect for a day outside and just as perfect for kicking up your feet and watching the Dawgs play on a Saturday afternoon.
